Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 26, 2026
DevTab Organizer ("the Extension") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is protected. Our core philosophy is simple: your data belongs to you, and it never leaves your machine.
Information We Access
To function properly, DevTab Organizer requests the tabs and tabGroups permissions from your browser. The Extension accesses the URLs and titles of the tabs currently open in your browser to categorize them accurately.
How Information is Used
The accessed tab data (URLs and titles) is used exclusively for the core functionality of the Extension:
- Automatically categorizing and grouping your open tabs based on domains.
- Allowing you to search across your open tabs within the extension popup.
- Allowing you to save and restore tab sessions.
Zero Data Collection
DevTab Organizer operates 100% locally on your machine.
No External Servers: The Extension does NOT transmit, upload, or send your tab data, browsing history, or any other personal information to external servers.
Local Storage: All user preferences, custom domain rules, and saved tab sessions are stored securely in your browser's local storage via the Chrome Storage API.
Sharing of Information
Because we do not collect or transmit your data to any servers, we do not (and cannot) share, sell, or trade your data with any third parties. Your data is entirely yours.
